Last year, our first-ever backpack drive was a huge success. We got 115 backpacks, exceeding our goal of 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for local children. This year, our target is 200 backpacks full of school supplies. We want these children to walk into the classroom with everything they need to focus and excel in class without worrying about having no pen or paper to write on.
This initiative matters to us because we believe that changing the lives of the whole community for the better starts by giving children better education. The simple act of giving these children the tools they need in school can make a big difference in their lives. We are currently in our second week of trying to get 200 backpacks and you may have seen posts of our program on Facebook and other social media.
