Me and Gene Summers from the Shawn Martin Group are thrilled to announce that on June 1, the Shawn Martin Group will be participating in the Annapolis Pride Festival, right in downtown Annapolis.
The festival kicks off around noon and runs through the afternoon. We’ll have a booth set up at the Maryland Hall for the Arts. If you are not familiar with the area, it’s a big open area where you can come by, hang out, and enjoy the festivities.
If you’re planning to attend, it’s best to arrive early—at least a few hours early. There’s a parade down West Street that ends at Maryland Hall, so be sure to plan your arrival accordingly. Parking might be a bit tight, but there are options nearby.
If you’re wondering why we are participating and are excited to be a part of the Annapolis Pride, it’s because this is something that’s very close to our hearts. Annapolis Pride started four years ago, initiated by a group of volunteers who wanted to do something special to celebrate diversity and inclusion. This is a great opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to come together and have a great time.
Expect the festival to be a blast, with music, food, and plenty of fun activities for everyone. We’ve been before, and trust us, it’s an event you don’t want to miss!
